Hi been reading your blog for a while now. I'm also interested in being a flight attendant. I'm about to turn 21 and have been working as a preschool teacher for almost 2 years now. Im also taking classes in child care development to get my degree, would this be something that would look good on my resume for flight attending?
Yes! College is always good! Working in a fast paced environment where you must multi task is also very good! Try to volunteer too, somewhere! Do you have any languages other than English?? That is also a plus!
Unfortunately I didn't make the cut with Qantas :( HOWEVER, I received an email from their HR saying that at preliminary review of my application it was decided I did not have the required length of work experience for my application to be progressed - how fantastic to get an actual reason from them! And something easily fixed. So, I'm starting a new job now - front desk at a major hotel. I'll be back :)
Yes you will! AND that is good experience! Fore front and customer service; face paced! Work it!
Do you normally work on the 737-300 or the 737-400? Have you ever been 1L on a 737? delta has REALLY nice 73s

Hey! I hope this is okay but I just got set up for a phone interview on Friday to become a flight attendant. I was hoping you could maybe give me any pointers or advice. I am super anxious and nervous but also incredibly excited and staying positive. What types of questions will they ask.

Hi! I got my job in the late 80’s with American… I am now on my 3rd airline.. and alot has changed! Go to any airline website and start there. Usually there are links about the company ..you can find out from there if they are hiring. I love my job. I majored in nursing and behavioural health in college and would make alot more $$ doing that! HOWEVER, $ isn’t everything. I have a boyfriend that works and lives in the east and it works because I get 13 days off per month that I can move to wherever I want those days to be. I also fly for free.. ANY airline pretty much. What is not to love. I will say its not all play and no work. Alot of trips are minimum rest; crap hotels; and flying 5 legs per day! It can become fatiguing! You must be energetic. Outgoing. Have a bit of quick wit about you.. think on your feet. Idk if you have any college under your belt but that is a good thing. And volunteerism is a very good thing on any resume. Be in good shape and active! KNOW the company in which you are going to interview for. When you get an invite … lmk and I will guide you!
